Girls are like…

Girls are like
apples on trees. The best
ones are at the top of the tree.
The boys don’t want to reach for
the good ones because they are afraid
of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they
just get the rotten apples from the ground
that aren’t as good, but easy. So the apples
at the top think something is wrong with
them, when in reality, they’re amazing.
They just have to wait for the right
boy to come along, the one
who’s brave enough

to climb
all the way
to the top
of the tree.

I think this is the most awesomest and true saying… :D

Definitely words to live by for me from now on… ;)

Excitement Plus!!

Well I am now super-duper excited about going to Oxford!!  After having a few days to think about it and let it sink in and checking out books and stuff about it I sooooo can’t wait!!

Of course now time is on a go-slow haha… :D But I have made goals to be achieved between now and Feb -

  • Send paperwork to renew UK Passport by Friday 8th Aug.
  • Book flights by Friday 12th Sept.
  • Join gym after booking flights.
  • Deliver my car to Emma in Wanaka early Dec and collect the $3,000.
  • Open a UK bank account with above dosh and savings from Sept – Dec (hopefully lotsa $$$)

Yeah so that’s the planage so far…. everything kinda hinges on my flight dates as to booking accomodation etc. My last day of work is Tue 3rd Feb 2009 so I’d be aiming to be flying off into the sunset about a week after that! :P

hmmmmm rethink… Oxford it is!

Right so after talking to my UK born and bred parents I have realise I’m gonna have to re-think my “Plan of Attack” ….

Apparently getting from my Aunties place to London everyday for sightseeing is a no-go so I’ve decided to make Oxford my destination first up.  YAY that means I get to see my bestie Amelia haha.

My new home in Feb 2009!!!

Plan of Attack…

Ok so today i’ve been nutting out a rough plan for my first two weeks in the United Kingdom!

At the moment it goes like this…. (note I have yet to confirm this with the poor people who will be hopefully putting me up haha!)

  • Arrive in London approx Feb 10…
  • Stay with family in High Wycombe…
  • Visit Amelia in Oxford (approx an hour away from HW by train)…
  • Spend a week sightseeing round London….
  • Travel to Newcastle and stay with family there…
  • Hook myself up with a temping job….
  • Save for a Contiki Tour!!!!

Yeah so that’s it so far….. good plan? Methinks it will suffice…. but watch this space for edits haha :-)
